Despite being less than seven years old, Amsterdam-based footwear gurus Filling Pieces have made a huge impact on the sneaker scene in a relatively short space of time.
The brainchild of Dutch architect Guillaume Philibert, Filling Pieces was designed to bridge the gap between streetwear and luxury, and to provide premium materials on a brand-new silhouette at an affordable price point.
Having collaborated with several industry big-hitters over the years (most notably 2014s collaboration with sneaker powerhouse Ronnie Fieg) the brand quickly infiltrated the streetwear consciousness, and helped set Filling Pieces on a positive trajectory.
By limiting the range of silhouettes – fewer than 10 at the time of writing – the brand instead places the emphasis on colour and materials to differentiate each sneaker, culminating in a cohesive, instantly-recognisable collection. All are handcrafted at the company’s factory in Portugal.
The majority of styles are unisex, and prices start at around £150. Visit Filling Pieces to see the full collection. Also, make sure you check out their outstanding video lookbook below.
