The KITH Ultra Boost Mid ‘Aspen’ Arrives 31st December

Despite making its debut back in 2015, the adidas Ultra Boost remains one of the company’s most sought-after silhouettes.

We’re now onto the third iteration of the sneaker, which boasts updated features like a new, more-streamlined Primeknit upper and frosty translucent cage alongside a slew of new colourways. It retains the DNA of the original, but adds flourishes and subtle touches to reinterpret what the Ultra Boost is – it’s gone from a hyper-focused running shoe, to the lifestyle sneaker of choice to everyone from Kanye West to, er, Jonah Hill.

One Ultra Boost that’s stolen all the headlines as of late, however, is the brand-new KITH Ultra Boost Mid, part of Ronnie Fieg’s Aspen Collection. This is the first time the sneaker has ever appeared as a mid-top, and the results are spectacular. Sure, it looks a little like a Christmas sweater, but there’s no denying adding a sock upper to the Ultra Boost sole is a winning combination (and one that the UB Uncaged missed the mark on…)

Supply of the Mid is heavily restricted, appearing at certain adidas Consortium accounts on 31st December – in some cases, only one pair per size is available.

So good luck. Resale for the sneaker is hovering right around the £450/$500 mark, so if you do miss out and can’t live without them, they’re not as unattainable as, say, the Nike Air MAG, the Yeezy Red October or the ever-elusive Sex and the City Nike Air Presto (yes, really.)
